Clotilde Provansal's personal history is closely linked to displacement, which is why she sets up a whole reflection around hybridization and acclimatization in her artistic practice. She analyzes the processes and gestures linked to these two notions and examines the close links between reality and fiction. Her iconographic universe is nourished by the landscapes of Reunion Island, old cartographies and the clinical world (laboratories, hospitals).
Her artistic approach consists of setting up what she calls immersive residencies, in a transdisciplinary (art / science) and collaborative approach. These residencies are designed as experimental fields on which sounds, words, knowledge, images are collected, which the artist combines and then transposes into another context. She then tries to extract the very essence of these gestures and highlight their capacity for resilience.
