Fragments is a printed collection of photographic books, aiming to highlight the photographic work produced in the Indian Ocean, and to go beyond these “idyllic” images usually produced for hurried visitors. Each volume of the Fragments collection thus slowly draws up the singular portrait of a plural territory: the Indian Ocean. Accustomed to tourist images often imbued with imaginaries from the North, the reader has the opportunity to discover an authentic approach to local realities. Through more than 600 pages of content, without advertising or sponsors, Fragments aims to deconstruct these imaginaries to offer a new and independent vision of often unknown territories.
