Born in Reunion Island in 1972. Graduated from the College of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, France.
In Lionel Lauret's art, science and innocence are combined in equal proportions and one can feel the undeniable tenderness for the figures that remain in him. He reveals that families and leads us into a playful universe that is often interactive and metaphorical and that looks at his time. His painting work is most often done in large format.
Primitively inspired, his characters catalyze emotions, desires, confrontations between man and gods, and therefore lead us to question the emotional and passionate relationships of his fellow Earthlings.
His installations are privileged meeting places where magic and imagination, the inclination for play, dreams and poetry intertwine.
